In a move aimed at bolstering the Ivorian education system, Minister of National Education and Literacy, Mariatou Koné, distributed a significant amount of teaching materials and office equipment to various supervisory structures within the ministry on May 15, 2024, in Abidjan.
The distributed resources, which encompass essential items like office chairs, air conditioners, fax machines, photocopiers, and computer devices, are intended to equip decentralized structures with the necessary technical means to deliver quality education.
According to Minister Koné, this equipment distribution underscores the Ivorian Head of State's unwavering commitment to prioritizing education. It aligns perfectly with the ongoing efforts to enhance working conditions across all ministry-supervised structures. "We are sparing no effort to improve the working conditions of those who manage our educational institutions," she emphasized.
The minister strategically timed this distribution to coincide with "an important stage of our strategic agenda, namely, mass circulation exams," highlighting the equipment's crucial role in facilitating this critical period.
Minister Koné took the opportunity to acknowledge previous initiatives aimed at equipping supervisory structures. These prior efforts included the distribution of mobility equipment for field operations and the provision of diverse IT and technical resources.
Following the distribution ceremony, Minister Koné urged the beneficiary structures and their collaborators to leverage the provided resources effectively. "I am counting on all of you to continue striving towards our primary objective: achieving a modern and competitive Ivorian school system," she declared.
This recent allocation of teaching materials and office equipment signifies the Ministry of National Education's steadfast dedication to building a robust and well-equipped educational infrastructure in Côte d'Ivoire. By prioritizing quality education and improving working conditions for educators, the ministry paves the way for a brighter future for Ivorian students.
